Roast my CV
Upload your CV (PDF or Word) and Kif's AI recruiter reviews it like a recruiter screening 300 applications: it scores it out of 100 on what gets noticed in the first seconds (measurable results, ownership, skills shown in real work, a clear timeline, clarity and filler), decides shortlist, maybe or reject, tells you what it saw in 7 seconds, and shows the rejection email you would get with the real reasons. Then you get three rewrites you can paste straight back in. Choose Honest, Savage or Brutal, in English or Desi (Roman Urdu/Hindi). It is free, needs no account, and your CV is read in memory and never stored.
How the score works.
The score is calculated by fixed rules from what is in your CV, not by an AI's opinion. An AI reads the CV (your roles, bullets and skills) and writes the roast and the rewrites; every rewrite has to start from a line that really is in your CV. Because the reading is done by AI, the same CV can move by a point or two between runs.
| Part | Points | What earns them |
|---|---|---|
| Impact | 30 | Bullets that state a measurable result: a number, a percentage, a time saved, a scale. Half your bullets with a result earns full marks. |
| Skills shown | 20 | Listed skills that also appear in the work you describe. A skills list of 40 tools you never mention again reads as a keyword dump. |
| Ownership | 15 | Bullets that start with what you did (built, cut, led, shipped), not "responsible for", "worked on" or "helped with". |
| Timeline | 15 | Dates on every role, and a current or recent role. |
| Clarity | 10 | A headline, a short summary, and a length a recruiter can scan (roughly 200 to 1,100 words). |
| No filler | 10 | Two points off for each cliché that says nothing: "hardworking", "team player", "results-driven", "seeking a challenging position". |
What a fix looks like.
Most CVs lose points the same way: they describe the job instead of the result. Every rewrite follows the X-Y-Z pattern (what you accomplished, how it was measured, how you did it). The tool never invents your numbers: anything it can't know is left as a [placeholder] for you to fill in.

Why this is not an ATS keyword checker.
Many free CV checkers score how many keywords from a job advert you copied. That rewards stuffing, and a human reader sees through it in seconds. This tool scores the evidence a hiring manager looks for. Clear dates, plain section titles and a text-based PDF also keep your CV readable by applicant tracking systems.
It is a fast first pass, not a guarantee: a high score doesn't mean you will get an interview, and a low one doesn't mean you are a weak engineer. It usually means your CV is hiding your work.
What happens to your CV.
- Email addresses, phone numbers and ID numbers are removed before an AI model reads the text.
- The CV file and its text are read in memory and discarded. They are not stored or used to train models.
- Your result (score, roast lines and rewrites) gets a private link so you can share it. It has no name or contact details, and search engines are asked not to index it.
After the roast.
Fix the three lines, then let your CV do some work: Kif turns it into a profile in about a minute, asks only what is missing, and matches you with software and AI roles in both directions. Contact details are shared only when you and the employer both say yes.
Common questions
Is the CV roast free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account, and you can roast as many versions of your CV as you like within normal use limits.
Do you store my CV?
No. The file is read in memory and discarded, after contact details are removed. Only the result (score, roast and rewrites, with no name or contact details) is kept, so you can share its link.
What is a good CV score?
Above 80 means your CV shows clear, measurable results and few weak lines. Most first drafts land between 30 and 60, mostly because bullets describe duties instead of results. Fixing three bullets with real numbers often adds 15 to 25 points.
Can it roast my CV in Urdu or Hindi?
Yes. Choose Desi mode and the roast comes in the English, Urdu and Hindi mix developers use with each other, written in Roman script. The rewrites stay in clear English because they go on your CV.
Is the score fair?
The score is not an AI's opinion. It is calculated by fixed rules from what your CV says (results, ownership, skills shown in your work, dates, clichés). It never considers your name, age, gender, nationality, university or employment gaps.
Will this help my CV pass ATS?
Indirectly. ATS software mostly needs readable text, clear dates and standard section names, which the score rewards. It does not reward keyword stuffing, because the people who read your CV after the ATS don't either.
