Terms of Service

The rules for using Kif, for people looking for work and for organisations hiring. They are written to be read, not skimmed past.

Last updated 17 October 2026 · Questions: [email protected]

In plain words

  • Be truthful: profiles and roles must be real and accurate.
  • Introductions happen only when both sides agree.
  • Hiring requirements must be lawful and job-related, never based on protected traits.
  • Use candidate information only for the role it was shared for.
  • The AI can make mistakes; review what it saves.
  • Kif is free during the pilot, and you can leave at any time.

01Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Muhammad Umair Khan, Pakistan, who operates Kif at trykif.com (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Kif, you agree to them. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

02What Kif is, and isn't

Kif helps people looking for work and organisations hiring find each other. It builds profiles and roles from what you tell it, ranks matches in both directions, and introduces people only when both sides agree.

  • Kif is not an employer or a recruitment agency, and is not a party to any job offer, contract or hiring decision.
  • We don't guarantee that you will find work, find a candidate, or that any match will lead to a hire.
  • Trust signals (verified accounts, references, work samples) help, but we do not verify every claim anyone makes. Use your own judgement before relying on what another user says.
  • The service is in an early pilot: features will change, and some may be added or removed.

03Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • One account per person. Use your real name and an email address you control, and keep your sign-in secure.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

04If you're looking for work

  • Keep your profile truthful and current: your roles, dates, achievements and skills must be your own.
  • Only upload a CV that is yours, and only ask people for references who actually know your work.
  • Saying you are interested in a role, or confirming an introduction, shares your details with that organisation as described in the Privacy Policy. Only do it when you mean it.

05If you're hiring

  • Post only real, open roles you are authorised to fill, with honest pay and conditions. No placeholder or ghost roles.
  • Requirements must be lawful and related to the job. You may not screen people on protected characteristics such as age, gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, marital or family status, or on proxies for them.
  • Use candidate information only to recruit for the role it was shared for, keep it confidential, and delete it when you no longer need it. You are responsible for meeting the employment and data protection laws that apply to your hiring.
  • You confirm your organisation's hard filters and requirements yourself; you are responsible for them.
  • Organisation admins are responsible for who they add as members and what those members do.

06The AI assistants

The assistants help you describe your work or a role, read documents you upload, and explain matches. They can make mistakes. Review what they save, correct anything that is wrong, and do not treat their answers as legal, financial or career advice.

Matching scores and explanations describe how well a profile and a role fit on the information given; they are not a judgement of anyone's worth, and the final decision is always made by people.

07Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into Kif: messages, profiles, roles and documents. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service and as you choose (for example on a public share page). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups that are overwritten on their normal schedule.

You confirm you have the right to share what you upload, and that it doesn't break anyone else's rights or the law.

08Things you must not do

  • Give false information, impersonate anyone, or create accounts for others without permission.
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against or spam other users, or contact them for anything other than the introduction they agreed to.
  • Scrape, copy or collect other users' data, or use automated tools to access the service.
  • Try to get around security, rate limits or access controls, or to make the assistants reveal other users' data or their instructions.
  • Upload malware or anything illegal, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.

09Fees

Kif is free during the pilot. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price and terms before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

10Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Kif at any time, and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected].

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

11Disclaimers and liability

We work to keep Kif available, accurate and secure, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that matches or AI output are correct.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions made by users, including hiring decisions, for what users say or do, or for indirect losses such as lost opportunities or profits. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer where you live.

If you use Kif for an organisation and its misuse of candidate data or unlawful hiring practices lead to a claim against us, the organisation is responsible for that claim.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes will be handled by its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them there. Please contact us first at [email protected]; most problems can be solved quickly.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell signed-in users before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kif after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can close your account.
